RESOLUTION NO. 75-104
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN
AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE OF
THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA FOR A POPULATION ESTI-
MATE OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, Section 40200 of the Government Code of the
State of California grants the legislative body of a city the
power to take a census of said city between the years of taking
the federal census; and
WHEREAS, Section 2107.2 of the Streets and Highways
Code of the State of California authorizes a city to apply
to the Department of Finance of the State of California to esti-
mate said city's population; and
WHEREAS, it is desired that a population estimate
of the City of Santa Ana be made; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has budgeted $80,000.00
to be spent in Fiscal Year 1975-76 for the making of a popula-
~on estimate of the City of Santa Ana.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Santa Ana hereby authorizes the City Manager
to execute an agreement between the City of Santa Ana and the
Department of Finance of the State of California providing for
the services of said Department in making an estimate of popu-
lation of the City of Santa Ana under authority of Section 2107.2
of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California
and agreeing that the City of Santa Ana shall pay the cost of
making such estimate in accordance with the schedule of charges
contained in said agreement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
