A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA WITHDRAWING FROM MEM-
BERSHIP IN THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL COORDI-
NATING COUNCIL OF ORANGE COUNTY
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana entered into an agreement dated
January 2, 1973, with the County of Orange and those cities which became
signatories thereto forming the Intergovernmental Coordinating Council
of Orange County; and
WHEREAS, the Intergovernmental Coordinating Council of Orange
County was created as a voluntary agency established by agreement among
its members; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Intergovernmental Coordinating Council
is to provide a forum for planning, discussion, and study of regional
problems of mutual interest and concern to its members; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana is experiencing severe fiscal con-
straints requiring reductions in city memberships; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana has eliminated
the appropriation for membership assessments to the Intergovernmental
Coordinating Council; and
WHEREAS, the aforementioned agreement provides that delinquency
in payment of assessments for a period of two Intergovernmental
Coordinating Council meetings after the assessments are due shall be
considered equivalent to withdrawal; and
WHEREAS, the aforementioned agreement provides that a withdrawing
member shall not be liable for any assessment levied for the following
fiscal year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City
of Santa Ana hereby officially withdraws from membership in the Inter-
governmental Coordinating Council of Orange County.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at
its regular meeting held on the 18th day of
August , 1975.

Council of the City of Santa Ana, California; that the foregoing resolu-
tion was considered by said Council at its regular meeting
held on the 18th day of August , 1975, and was
