RESOLUTION 75-110
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING ~N
APPLICATION FOR GRANT FOR ORANGE
COUNTY NARCOTICS INDEX, CALIFOP~IA
COUNCIL ON CRIMINAL JUSTICE AND
AUTHORIZING TttE CHIEF OF POLICE OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA TO EXECUTE ALL
DOCU~{ENTS PERTINEi~T THERETO
~EREAS, the City of Santa Ana desires to undertake a
certain project designated Orange County Narcotic Index to be
funded in part from funds made available pursuant to the Crime
Control Act of 1973, PL 93-83, administered by the Office of
Criminal Justice Planning (hereafter referred to as OCJP) for
the California Council on Criminal Justice.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Chief of Police
of the City of Santa Ana is authorized to submit the attached
Application for Grant for Law Enforcement Purposes to OCJP and is
authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Santa Ana the
attached Grant Award for law enforcement purposes including any
extensions or amendments thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Santa Ana agrees to
provide all matching funds required for said project (including any
extension or amendment thereof) under the Crime Control Act and
the rules and regulations of OCJP and the Law Enforcement Assist-
ance Administration (LEAA) and that cash will be appropriated as
required thereby.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder
shall not be used to supplant on-going law enforcement expenditures.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 18th day of
August , 1975.
