OR OTHER FI~ DEPART~NT VEHICLE
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana as follows:
1. That on the effective date of City of Santa
Ana Ordinance NS-1273, there is hereby established a Twenty-
Five Dollar ($25.00) fee which shall be charged to each person
who receives emergency services and medical care from paramedics
using City of Santa Ana owned paramedic vehicles or other
City of Santa Ana Fire Department vehicles where the person
is not transported by a City owned paramedic or other fire
department vehicle.
2. That it is hereby found and determined that
said Twenty-Five Dollar ($25.00) fee is not less than the
average fee charged by commercial ambulances for comparable
services in the City of Santa Ana.
3. That the City Manager of the City of Santa Ana
is hereby authorized to execute a written contract on behalf
of the City which provides that Santa Ana-Tustin Community
Hospital, a California non-profit corporation, as an indepen-
dent contractor, is to bill and collect at the request of
the Director of Finance of the City of Santa Ana for the ben-
efit of the City of Santa Ana, the fee established by this
Resolution, commencing with the effective date of City of
Santa Ana Ordinance NS-1273, at a charge to the City of no
more than Three Dollars ($3.00) for each patient for whom
emergency services and medical care is rendered.
4. That this Resolution shall become effective
on the effective date of City of Santa Ana Ordinance NS-1273.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the
2nd day of September , 1975.
