A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA FIXING THE SALARY OF
THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to maintain the salary
of the Clerk of the Council within the range of currently pre-
valent salaries for similar positions in cities of comparable
size; and
WHEREAS, the Clerk of the Council is of a caliber to
warrant payment equal to or above the prevailing rate;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the salary for the
position of Clerk of the Council of the City of Santa Ana,
California, is hereby fixed and established at $ 1,960
per month and that said salary shall take effect and be paid
from September 1, 1975.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, in addition to the afore-
said salary, the Clerk of the Council shall receive the following
benefits in like manner and amount as have been approved for
all Department Heads:
Effective September 1, 1975, a group life insurance
policy in the amount of $20,000, with double
indemnity.
Effective September 1, 1975, the City as employer,
will contribute $14.00 per month toward the purchase
of a dental insurance plan for the Clerk of the Council
and his (her) dependents. Said sum shall be the total
cost paid by the City toward such coverage. In the
event the premium cost shall exceed $14.00 per month,
the additional cost shall be borne entirely by the
Clerk of the Council.
Effective April 1, 1976, the City, as employer, will
contribute $4.00 per month toward the purchase of a
long-term Disability Income Protection Plan for the
Clerk of the Council. In the event the premium cost
exceeds $4.00 per month, the Clerk of the Council
will bear such additional cost.
Any other compensation benefits payable to all Depart-
ment Heads, effective on the dates such benefits are
payable to same Department Heads.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 74-110 is hereby
repealed.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 15th
day of September , 1975.
