RESOLUTION NO. 75-147
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA ORDERING THE VACATION
OF A PORTION OF WASHINGTON AVENUE ADJACENT
TO THE WEST SIDE OF TttE SANTA ANA FP~EEWAY
RIGHT OF WAY AND RESERVING ~ EASEMENT
FOR UTILITY PURPOSES
WHEP~EAS, on recommendation of the Department of
Public Works and the Planning Commission of the City of Santa
Ana, Resolution No. 75-126 was adopted giving notice of intention
to vacate a portion of Washington Avenue adjacent to the West
side of the Santa Ana Freeway right of way ; and
WHEREAS, on October 6, 1975, a public hearing was
duly held on vacation of said street on posted notice and the pub-
lication of said Resolution No. 75-126.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds that the abovementioned street
is unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes and does
hereby make its order abandoning and vacating for street purposes
that certain right of way located in the City of Santa Ana, County
of Orange, State of California, described in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and by this reference incorporated herein.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that pursuant to the provisions
of Section 5079 of the Public Resources Code of the State of Calif-
ornia, this Council does hereby find and determine that neither
said portion(s) of said street nor parts thereof is useful as bicycle
paths or routes.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the
6th day of October , 1975.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION:
A strip of land, being a portion of the land allotted to Maria Ygnac~a Alvarado
de Morano in Decree of partition of Rancho Santiago de Santa Aha, recorded in
BOok "B" of Judgments of the 17th Judicial District Court, Los Angeles County,
California, being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the City Monument on the center line of Washington Avenue having
a bearing of South 56° 29' 57" East as shown on a map filed in Book 67 Page 13
· of Parcel Maps, County of Orange, California, said City Monument being South
33° BO' OB" West 20.52 feet from the center line of the cul-de-sac; thence running
South 56° 29' 57" East 9~.5~ feet; thence South 0° ~B' 5~" East BO.BO feet to the
true point of beginning; thence South 56° 29' 57" East 86.0~ feet; thence South
0° 5B' ~5" East 12.12 feet; thence North 56° 29' 57" West 9.82 feet; thence North
0° 5B' 55" West 8.72 feet; thence South 89° 01' 53" West 12.72 feet; thence North
56° 29' 57" West 60.81 feet; thence North 0° ~3' ~" West 12.12 feet to the true
point of beginning.
Subject to all covenants, conditions, restrictions, reservations, easements, and
rights of way of record.
Reserving an easement over the above-described land to the Southern California
Edison Company for all the purposes of installing,.constructing, ~ltering, adding
to, maintaining, replacing, and inspecting abqve ground or underground poles,
guys, markers, wires, cables, or other appliances ne?essary for the carrying on
