RESOLUTION NO. 75-164
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
ANA REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF ORANGE TO ALLOCATE ADDI-
TIONAL FUNDS FROM ITS ARTERIAL HIGHWAY FINANCING PRO-
GRAM FUND FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF FLOWER STREET FROM
PINE STREET TO SANTA ~A BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana by Resolu-
tion No. 73-154, dated December 17, 1973, requested the County of
Orange to include within the Arterial Highway Financing Program
the development of Flower Street from Pine Street to Santa Ana Boule-
vard; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Board of Supervisors by Resolu-
tion No. 74-528 dated April 16, 1974, approved the allocation of
$103,000 from the Special Road Improvement Fund for the fiscal year
1974-75 to be provided for the improvement of Flower Street from
Pine Street to Santa Ana Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has previously budgeted
$342,000 for the construction and right of way acquisition necessary
for said Flower Street; and
WHEREAS, because of increased construction costs, the allo-
cation of additional funds for this project is required; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Aha is allocating an additional
$40,000, inclusive of $17,000 to match the amount of the County's
allocation which is hereinafter requested, for the construction of
the road project which will be available for the fiscal year 1975-
76.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana that said Council does hereby request the Board
of Supervisors of the County of Orange to allocate to the City of
Santa Ana the additional amount of $17,000, said amount to be matched
as aforesaid by funds from said City,to be used to aid said City
in the improvement of Flower Street from Pine Street to Santa Ana
Boulevard, said improvement to be in accordance with the previously
submitted and approved project statement for the project.
