CITY OF SA~NTA ANA CONDEI~ING TttE RESOLUTION
OF THE UNITED NATIONS FALSELY ACCUSING
ZIONISM AS BEING RACIST AND URGING TttAT THE
UNITED NATIONS RESCIND THIS RESOLUTION
in infamy,
Zionism as
WHEREAS, on November 10, 1975, a day that shall live
the United Nations, by Resolution, falsely accused
being racist, and
WHEREAS, such baseless, cowardly, and hypocritical
action violates all principles of human decency, and
WHEREAS, six million Jews were brutally exterminated
while the world stood by cynical, impotent and calloused, and
WHEREAS, Zionism is the political movement of the Jewish
people to return to their homeland, Israel, and
WHEREAS, many nations who voted for this Resolution
have engaged in genocide and the imprisonment of political
prisoners by the thousands and millions, and
WHEREAS such Resolution is a mask for anti-Semitism,
a scourage that is in its essence anti-Christian and anti-human, and
WHEREAS, the Jewish people have been in the forefront
of the fight for human freedom and dignity, both in the United
Nations and throughout the world, and
WHEREAS, the State of Israel is one of the few remaining
democracies on the face of this earth that is truly democratic and
protective of all its peoples', religious, racial and human rights.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Santa Ana hereby condemns this pernicious Resolution
of the United Nations falsely accusing Zionism as being racist
and urges that the United Nations rescind this Resolution and
directs that this Resolution be forwarded to the United Nations,
to the State Department, to the State Capitol, and to other Cities
in California, urging similar action.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the
City of Santa Aha at its regular meeting held on the
15th day of December , 1975.
