A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
ANA RESTRICTING PARKING ON CERTAIN AREAS OF NEWHOPE STREET
WHEREAS, in order to provide and maintain the maximum traffic flow upon
Newhope Street and to permit the establishment of bicycle lanes for an increasing
number of bicyclists, the full width of said streets must be employed in certain
areas during certain times of the day; and
WHEREAS, the maintenance of parking spaces upon said streets in these areas
during those certain times would constitute a considerable hazard to motorists
and bicyclists by reason of the necessity of closing traffic lanes to provide
such parking spaces;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That parking is prohibited between the hours
of 7:00 A.M. and 9:00 A.M. and between 2:00 P.M. and 4:00 P.M. daily except Sat-
urdays, Sundays and holidays on both sides of Newhope Street between Edinger
Avenue and Regent Drive.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its
regular meeting held on the 17th day of February , 1976.
