A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA COMMENDING
WINSTON R. UPDEGRAFF
WHEREAS, Winston R. Updegraff has served with the League
of California Cities for more than 45 years; and
WHEREAS, Winston was in charge of the Los Angeles office
of the League of California Cities for 10 years; and
WHEREAS, Winston has served as Executive Secretary of the
Orange County Division of the League of California Cities for the
past 12 years; and
WHEREAS, Winston's dedicated service has benefited the City
of Santa Ana and the other cities of Orange County; and
WHEREAS, Winston is known to be a personable and productive
man who has devoted his efforts to public services; and
WHEREAS, Winston has been a welcome and ~heerful member of
the Santa Ana City Hall since the office of the Orange County Division,
League of California Cities was located there;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Santa Ana City Council
does hereby express deep gratitude to Winston R. Updegraff and hopes
he will have many happy and fruitful years to enjoy a well earned
life of retirement, secure in the knowledge of tasks faithfully and
excellently done during a remarkable career devoted to public interest
and service.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of July, 1976.

of. the Council of the City of Santa Ana; that the foregoing Resolution
