HomeMy WebLinkAbout76-092~EL:nr 8-5-76 RESOLUTION NO. 76-92 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA ESTABLISHING RENTAL RATES FOR USE OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL STADIUM PURSUANT TO PERMITS ISSUED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF RECREATION AND PARKS BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Santa Ana does hereby establish the following rental rates for use of the Santa Ana Municipal Stadium pursuant to permit issued by the Department of Recreation and Parks: (a) The rental rate for use of the Stadium for events at which an admission fee is charged hosted by a school located within the corporate limits of the City of San~a Ana shall be: Night use. .for each event: $330.00, or 10% of gross receipts up to gross receipts of $15,000.00, whichever is larger. Day use. .for each event: $225.00, or 10% of gross receipts up to gross receipts of $15,000.00, whichever is larger. (b) The rental rate for use of the Stadium for events at which an admission fee is charged hosted by a school located outside of the corporate limits of the City of Santa Ana shall be: Night use. .for each event: $330.00, or 10% of gross receipts, whichever is larger. Day use. .for each event: $225.00, or 10% of gross receipts, whichever is larger. (c) The rental rate for use of the Stadium for commer- cial events (exclusive of school events) shall be: Night use. .for each event: $330.00 plus an event adjustment factor, or 12% of gross receipts, whichever is larger. Day use. .for each event: $225.00 plus an event adjustment factor, or 12% of gross receipts, whichever is larger. (d) The rental than those uses set forth above shall be: rate for all uses of the Stadium other in paragraphs (a), (b) or (c) herein- Night use. .$20.00 for each hour of use. Day use. .$10.00 for each hour of use. (e) In the event that the user of the Stadium is granted permission by the City Council to charge a fee for park- ing at the parking facilities adjacent to the Stadium, the user shall pay 25% of gross receipts received from such parking fees in addition to amounts due for use of the Stadium. (f) Any school within the Santa Ana Unified School Dis- trict using the Stadium pursuant to paragraphs (a) or (b) shall pay an additional fee of $210.00 per event, which fee shall be in lieu of payment by such school for the costs of security for such event. RESOLUTION NO. 76-92 PAGE TWO (g) A show, athletic performance, or other activity shall be considered a single event for purposes of determining the rent due if it is subject to only one admission charge, even though it may be divided into more than one act, game, or segment. Performances subject to separate admission charges shall be considered separate events.
