RESOLUTION NO. 76-118
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA AMENDING THE LAND USE AND OPEN
SPACE ELEMENTS OF THE GENERAL PLAN BY REDESIG-
NATING 1.5 ACRES LOCATED NORTH OF SEGERSTROM AVENUE
AND 550 FEET EAST OF RAITT STREET FROM OPEN
SPACE TO LOW-DENSITY RESIDENTIAL
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its August 23, 1976
regular meeting, following public hearing noticed and held in the
manner prescribed in Section 27-16 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code,
has approved and recommended to this Council an amendment to the
General Plan of the City of Santa Ana, as hereinafter set forth;
and
WHEREAS, this Council, on September 20, 1976, has held a
public hearing, duly noticed, in accordance with Section 27-17 of
the Santa Ana Municipal Code, and based upon such hearing and the
evidence therein presented does now find the said amendment, as
recommended by the Planning Commission, to be in the public interest;
and
WHEREAS, this Council, prior to taking this action, has
reviewed and considered the information contained in that certain
document entitled "Final Environmental Impact Report on the Pro-
posed General Plan Amendment, Zone Change, and Tentative Tract No.
9222 in Santa Ana, California," and has approved said document as
the final environmental impact report for the project proposed on
the subject site;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Land Use and Open
Space elements of the General Plan of the City of Santa Ana are
hereby amended by deleting a site consisting of approximately one
and one-half acres, located on the north side of Segerstrom Avenue,
approximately 550 feet east of Raitt Street, from the open space
designation and redesignating such site as low density residential,
in accordance with that certain document entitled "Exhibit 76-3,
General Plan Amendment No. 1976-3," on file with the Clerk of the
Council.
