A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
ENCOURAGING THE USE OF WATER SAVING DEVICES AND MEASURES
WHEREAS, we are now in an age where we must recognize that many of
our natural resources are being rapidly depleted, and
WHEREAS, water is one of our most vital resources; and
WHEREAS, today's generations must bear the responsibility for preserving
this resource for future generations; and
WHEREAS, it is estimated that the use of water saving devices and con-
servation measures would result in an average water savings of approximately 125
gallons of water per day per household; and
WHEREAS, a reduction in water usage would also result in a reduction
in energy consumption in the areas of water treatment and transportation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
ANA: That the residents of Santa Ana are encouraged to incorporate water saving
devices and measures into their homes in order to conserve this vital natural
resource.
