RESOLUTION NO. 77-54
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT
OF THE GENERAL PLAN BY REDESIGNATING 167
ACRES LOCATED GENERALLY WITHIN THE AREA EN-
COMPASSED BY FAIRVIEW STREET, ALTON AVENUE,
BRISTOL STREET, AND SUNFLOWER AVENUE TO
OTHER USES.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its regular
meeting held on March 14, 1977, following public hearing
noticed and held in the manner prescribed in S27-16 of the
Santa Ana Municipal Co.de, has approved and recommended to
the City Council the amendments to the General Plan of the
City of Santa Aha as hereinafter set forth; and
WHEREAS, this Council has held a public hearing,
duly noticed in accordance with S27-17 of the Santa Ana Municipal
Code, and based upon such hearing and the evidence therein
presented, does now find the said amendment, as recommended
by the Planning Commission, to be in the public interest;
and
WHEREAS, this Council, prior to taking this action,
has reviewed and considered the information contained in that
Environmental Impact Report designated as "Environmental
Impact Report 76-4", has approved said document as the final
environmental impact report for the General Plan amendment
hereby adopted, and finds that social and economic conditions
render infeasible the alternative of retaining the parcels
in their existing land use designations;
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council
of the City of Santa Ana as follows:
1. That the land use portion of the General Plan
of the City of Santa Ana is hereby amended by deleting the
sites aggregating approximately 167 acres located generally
in the area bounded by Fairview Street, Alton Avenue, Bristol
Street, and Sunflower Avenue from designations in said plan
and redesignating such said sites as set forth infra, in accor-
dance with that certain document entitled "General Plan Amend-
ment 1977 - 1" on file with the Clerk of the Council. Said
parcels shall be redesignated as follows:
