RESOLUTION NO. 77-55
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANAAPPROVING A SCOPE CHANGE
FROM ACQUISITION OF EDNA PARK SITE #1 TO
ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY FOR THE EXPANSION
OF PRENTICE PARK ZOO AND REQUESTING THE
ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO
APPROVE A CHANGE IN APPROPRIATED MONIES
FROM THE ACQUISITION OF EDNA PARK TO THE
ACQUISITION OF PRENTICE PARK ZOO EXPANSION
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 75-135, dated
January 28, 1975, the Orange County Board of Supervisors
authorized appropriation of One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dol-
lars ($150,000) of county revenue sharing funds for acquisi-
tion of Edna Park Site #1; and
WHEREAS, a private developer has filed a tract
map on the Edna Park Site 91 property, rendering said prop-
erty incapable of being developed as a park site; and
WHEREAS, the funds available for acquisition of
Edna Park Site 91 could now be used by the City of Santa
Ana for acquisition of 3.5 acres needed for Prentice Park
Zoo expansion, provided said Board of Supervisors authorizes
such use.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Santa Ana:
1. That the Orange County Board of Supervisors
are hereby requested to approve an amendment to Resolution
75-135 allocating county revenue sharing funds from acquisi-
tion of Edna Park Site ~1 to acquisition of 3.5 acres for
Prentice Park Zoo.
2. That the funds allocated for acquisition of
Edna Park Site #1 now be used for acquisition of 3.5 acres
for Prentice Park Zoo expansion.
