RESOLUTION NO. 77-57
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING
EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA AND THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA FOR THE
SALE OF SURPLUS PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE
NORTH SIDE OF FIRST STREET BETWEEN VAN NESS
AVENUE AND PARTON STREET IN SANTA ANA
WHEREAS, Santa Ana Municipal Code §2-709 provides
that the sale of surplus city real property to a governmen-
tal agency does not require the necessity of public auction
for competitive bidding when authorized by the City Council;
and
WHEREAS, the Community Redevelopment Agency of
the City of Santa Ana is a governmental agency within the
meaning of Santa Aha Municipal Code §2-709; and
WHEREAS, the Community Redevelopment Agency of
the City of Santa Ana has offered to purchase the surplus
real property located on the north side of First Street be-
tween Van Ness Avenue and Parton Street for the sum of Forty-
six Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($46,250.00); and
WHEREAS, an independent fee appraisal has fixed
the sum of Forty-six Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Dollars
($46,250.00) as the fair market value for the above described
surplus real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA:
1. The City Council hereby authorizes and approves
the agreement for the sale of surplus property, located on
the north side of First Street between Van Ness Avenue and
Parton Street, to the Community Redevelopment Agency of the
City of Santa Ana, said agreement being entitled "Agreement
for Acquisition of Real Property."
2. The sum of Forty-six Thousand Two Hundred Fifty
Dollars ($46,250.00) is not less than the fair market value
for the above described surplus real property.
3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said
agreement.
