RESOLUTION NO. 77~4
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION
NO. 77-53 WAIVING ADMISSION CHARGES TO
PRENTICE PARK ZOO FOR THE HANDICAPPED
WHEREAS, on May 2, 1977, this Council adopted
Resolution No. 77-53, establishing a uniform schedule of
fees for services provided by the City of Santa Ana, among
which are fees for admission to Prentice Park Zoo; and
WHEREAS, this Council is of the opinion that fees
for admission to Prentice Park Zoo should be waived for
physically, mentally or emotionally handicapped persons;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Santa Aha: That Section IX of Resolution
No. 77-53 is hereby amended by adding the following to
"Admission Charges - Prentice Park Zoo:"
Admission to the Zoo is free for mentally,
emotionally or physically handicapped per-
sons. Obvious impairment is sufficient
evidence for free admission, but evidence
of Veteran's or disabled person's exemp-
tion pursuant to California Vehicle Code
sections 22511 or 22511.5 or of current
treatment at a private or public facility
is also sufficient for free admission,
which shall also apply to staff members
of such facility when accompanying any
person or persons who are entitled to
free admission hereunder.
ADOPTED this 18th day of July , 1977,
by the following vote:

Evans, Garthe, Brandt
