RESOLUTION NO. 77-135
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA ~4ENDING THE ARTERIAL
STREETS PORTION OF THE LAND USE AND ARTERIAL
STREETS SECTION OF THE GENERAL PLAN BY DE-
LETING A PORTION OF MEMORY LANE LOCATED BE-
TWEEN FLOWER AND BROADWAY STREETS THEREFROM
WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore referred to the
Planning Commission a proposed amendment to the Arterial
Streets portion of the Land Use and Arterial Streets Section
of the General Plan which would delete from the said document
that portion of Memory Lane located between Flower Street
and the future Broadway Street extension, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has duly given public
notice and held a public hearing in the manner prescribed in
Section 27-16 S.A.M.C. and, based upon such hearing and the evi-
dence presented therein, reported to the City Council by its
Resolution No. 6088 that it found said amendment to be in the
public interest and recommended adoption of said amendment,
and
WHEREAS, this Council has duly noticed and held a public
hearing in accordance with Section 27-17 S.A.M.C. and, based upon
such hearing and the evidence presented therein, does now find
this said amendment to be in the public interest, and
WHEREAS, prior to taking this action the Council has re-
viewed and considered the information contained in Negative
Declaration No. 77-194, and, on the basis thereof, finds that
the General Plan amendment will not have a significant effect
upon the environment,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana as follows:
That the arterial streets portion of the Land Use
and Arterial Streets Section of the General Plan is hereby
amended to delete therefrom that portion of Memory Lane
located between Flower Street and the future Broadway Street
extension as an arterial highway, in accordance with that certain
document entitled "Exhibit 77-3, General Plan amendment 77-3," on
file with the Clerk of the Council.
