RESOLUTION NO. 77-141
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION
NO. 77-53 PROVIDING FOR PRORATED DOG
LICENSE TAX.
WHEREAS, on May 2, 1977, this Council adopted
Resolution 77-53, establishing a uniform schedule of fees
for services provided by the City of Santa Ana, among which
are taxes for the annual licensing of dogs pursuant to
Santa Ana Municipal Code Section 5-51; and
WHEREAS, this Council is of the opinion that dog
license taxes should be prorated if the date of the required
first licensing of any dog falls after September 30 of any
year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Santa Ana: That so much of Section III of
Resolution No. 77-53 as reads:
Dog License Fees - Annual
Neutered Each Dog $ 5.00
Unneutered Each Dog 10.00
is hereby amended to read as follows:
DOG LICENSE TAX:
Annual, due on or before July 1:
Neutered Each Dog $ 5.00
Unneutered Each Dog 10.00
Prorated adjustment for first licensing of dog:
Between July 1 and September 30:
Neutered Each Dog $ 5.00
Unneutered Each Dog 10.00
Between October 1 and December 31:
Neutered Each Dog $ 3.75
Unneutered Each Dog 7.50
Between January 1 and March 31:
Neutered Each Dog $ 2.50
Unneutered Each Dog 5.00
