RESOLUTION NO 78-82
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
ORDERING THE ANNEXATION OF THE
"HOLLY SUGAR FACTORY AREA."
WHEREAS, Orange County Local Agency Formation
Commission adopted Resolution 78-87, designating the City of
Santa Aha as the conducting authority and directing the City
Council to initiate annexation prceedings subject to the
condition that the City prezone the territory known as the
"Holly Sugar Factory Area" prior to completion of the
annexation; and
WHEREAS, on or about May 15, 1978, effective on or
about June 16, 1978, this Council adopted Ordinance No. N.S. 1425,
prezoning the said "Holly Sugar Factory Area" from the
Mi (Light Industrial) District to the SD (Specific Develop-
ment) District and amending sectional district map No. 30-5-9;
and
WHEREAS, on or about May 23, 1978, this Council
adopted Resolution No. 78-57, initiating proceedings for the
annexation of the "Holly Sugar Factory Area" in compliance
with Orange County Local Agency Formation Commission Resolu-
tion No. 78-87; setting a hearing on the proposed annexation
for 5:00 p.m. on June 27, 1978; and directing the Clerk of
the Council to give notice of said hearing; and
WHEREAS, the said hearing was duly noticed in
compliance with the applicable provisions of the Government
Code, and held on June 27, 1978; and
WHEREAS, no written protests to the proposed
annexation have been filed and not withdrawn;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, that said City Council does hereby
order that the area known as the "Holly Sugar Factory Area,"
more specifically described in "Exhibit A," and shown on a
map entitled "Holly Sugar Factory Annex," marked "Exhibit B,"
both of which are attached hereto, be, and the same is
hereby annexed to the City of Santa Ana pursuant to the
authority granted in California Government Code Section 35229(b).
The Clerk of the Council is hereby directed to
cause a certified copy hereof, attested by her under seal,
to be sent to the Executive Officer of the Orange County
Local Agency Formation Commission.

THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA
All that certain territory situated in the County of Orange, State of California,
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeasterly corner of the "S.E. Southern Pacific and Delhi
Annex" to the City of Santa Aha, said corner being in the Northeast quarter of
Section 30, Township 5 South, Range 9 West, S.B.B. and M., as shown on a map filed
in Book 33, page 41 of Records of Surveys of Orange County, California.
Thence, along the existing boundary line of said City of Santa Ana as established
by the "Grand Avenue South of Warner Avenue West Annex", by the "Dyer and Grand
Northwest Annex", by the "Irvine's Subdivision Annex No. 1 (Revised)", by the
"Dyer and Grand Northwest Annex No. 2", by the "Irvine's Subdivision Annex No. 1
(Revised)", by the "Genevieve De Sutter Annex", by the Glorietta Addition", by
the "Townsend Annexation" and by
