RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COU~CIL ORDERING
THE WORKAND IMPROVE~NTS, TOGETHER WITH
APPURTENANCES, IN A SPECIAL ASSESS~.~ENT
DISTRICT% (ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 242)
CITY OF SANTA kNA
WHEREAS, this City Council has instituted proceedings and con-
ducted a Public Hearing for the construction of certain public
works of improvement, together with appurtenances and appurte-
nant work in connection therewith, including acquisition where
necessary, in a special assessment district pursuant to the
terms and provisions of the "Improvement Act of 1911", being
Division 7 of the-Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California; said special assessment district known and desig-
nated as
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 242
[LA BONITA/ROSITA]
(hereinafter referred to as the "Assessment District").
NOW, THEriEFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA
CALIFOR~IA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the above-recitals are all true and correct.
WORKS OF IMPROVEMENT
SECTION 2.
That the public interest and convenience require
the work and improvements hereinafter mentioned
to be done, and therefore the said City Council
hereby orders the following work to be done and
improvements to be made, to-wit:
The construction of certain street improvements,
including grading, paving, curbs and gutters,
driveway approaches, street trees and sidewalks,
together with appurtenances and appurtenant work
in a special assessment district known and desig-
nated as
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 242

SECTION 3.
PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
For further particulars, reference is hereby made
to Resolution of Intention No. 78-68 and to
the plans and drawings for said improvement on
file in the Office of the City Encineer and the
City Clerk of said City, and to the specifications

for said work heretofore adopted by said City
Council and on file in the Office of the City
Engineer and City Clerk of said.City, and all
of said plans, drawings and specifications
heretofore approved by the City Council of said
City are incorporated herein and made a part
hereof, and reference is hereby made thereto
for a more particular description of said work.
BOUNDARIEs OF DISTRICT
SECTION 4. That said City Council has determined and de-
clared that the contemplated works of improve-
ment heretofore mentioned were, in the opinion
of said City Council, of more than local or
ordinary benefit, and said City Council has
made the expense of said works of improvement
'chargeable upon an Assessment District. For
a particular description of the. Assessment
District, reference is hereby made to said
Resolution of Intention.
BONDS
SECTION 5.
That said City Council has determined and de-
clared that Serial Bonds bearing interest at
the rate of SIX AND ONE-HALF
percent ( 6.50 %) per annum, extending over a
period ending NINE (9) years from.the
2nd day of January next succeeding the next Sep-
tember 1st following their date, will be issued
hereunder in the manner as provided by the
"Improvement Act of 1911", being Part 5 of Divi-
sion 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California, to represent each assessment
of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) or more remaining unpaid
for thirty (30) days after date of mailing by the
Contractor or his assigns of the statement to pro-
perty owners pursuant to Section 5390 of the Streets
and Highways Code of the State of California.

SECTION 6.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this
ATTEST:
That all of the work herein ordered shall be done
and carried through pursuant to an Act of the
legislature of the State of California designated
the "Improvement Act of 1911". being Parts 1, 2 and
3 of Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of
the State of California.
