RESOLUTION NO. 78-135
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA CORRECTING A CLERICAL
ERROR IN RESOLUTION NO. 78-111.
W~EREAS, this Council adopted, on August 21, 1978,
Resolution No. 78-111, entitled "A Resolution of the City
Council of the City of Santa Ana, California, vacating those
portions of Second Street, Garnsey Street, Parton Street,
and all east-west alleys in the area bounded by First Street,
Flower Street, Third Street, and former Van Ness Avenue, in
the City of Santa Aha," and
WHEREAS, the said Resolution contained a clerical
error in that the legal description of the abovesaid streets
and alley thereby vacated, which said legal description was
attached to and incorporated by reference into the said
Resolution, as "Exhibit A" thereto," omitted to include a
phrase in the description of "Parcel 5" therein included;
and
WHEREAS, said clerical error was in no way prejudicial
or misleading to any persons interested in the proposed
vacation of said streets and alley, in that the precise
identification thereof was ascertainable from the map thereof
on file in the office of the C~erk of the Council in the
manner required by law and by Resolution No. 78-93 of this
Council declaring its intent to vacate the said streets and
alleys;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Santa Ana that Resolution No. 78-111 is
hereby amended by substituting the legal description attached
hereto as Exhibit A for the legal description attached as
Exhibit A to Resolution No. 78-111, and, as thus amended,
Resolution No. 78-111 is hereby affirmed and ratified.

Parcel l:
That portion of Second Street, 50 feet in width, together with those certain
alleys, 14 feet in width, in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, California,
as shown on a map of "Dawson and Cummings Addition to the Town of Santa Ana",
recorded in Book 13, page 47 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County,
California, bounded Easterly by the West line of Van Ness Avenue, 60 feet wide,
(formerly Lowe Street), bounded Westerly by the East line of Parton Street, as
shown on said map.
Parcel 2:
That portion of Second Street, 50 feet in width, together with that portion of
Parton Street, 60 feet in width, in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange,
California, as shown on a map of the "Jacob Ross Tract in the Ross Addition to
the Town of Santa Ana", recorded in Book 5, page 582 of Miscellaneous Records
of Los Angeles County, California, bounded Northerly by the South line of Third
Street, 60 feet in width, bounded Westerly by the East line of Garnsey Street,
60 feet in width, and bounded Southerly by the Easterly prolongation of a line
parallel and distant 40.0 feet Northerly, measured at right angles, from the
South line of Block 9 in said "Jacob Ross Tract" as shown on said map.
Parcel 3:
The Southerly 6 feet of Lots 1 and 2 together with the Northerly 6 feet of
Lots 3 and 4 all in Block 9 of the '~Jacob Ross Tract in the Ross Addition to
the Town of Santa Ana", in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, California,
recorded in Book 5, page 582 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County,
California.
Parcel 4:
That portion of Garnsey Street, 60 feet in width, in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, California, bounded Easterly by the West lines of Blocks
4 and 9 in the "Jacob Ross Tract in the Ross Addition to the Town of Santa Ana"
as shown on a map recorded in Book 5, page 582 of Miscellaneous Records of
Los Angeles County, California; bounded Westerly by the East lines of
Blocks J and K in the Ross Addition to Santa Ana as shown on a map recorded
in Book 3, page 534 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California;
bounded Northerly by the Easterly prolongation of the North line of said Block J;
bounded Southerly by a line parallel and distant 40.00 feet Northerly, measured
at right angles from the South line of said Block K.
Parcel 5:
That portion of Lot 10 in Block "K" of the Ross Addition to Santa Ana, in the
City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, California, as shown on that certain map
recorded in Book 3, page 534 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Los Angeles County,
California, described as follows:
A spandrel shaped parcel of land bounded Southerly by a line parallel and distant
40.00 feet Northerly, measured at right angles, from the South line of said Lot 10;
bounded Easterly by the East line of said Lot 10; bounded Northwesterly by the arc
of a curve concave Northwesterly, having a radius of 25.00 feet and being tangent
to said Southerly and Easterly boundaries.
Parcel 6:
That portion of Second Street, 50 feet in width, in the City of Santa Aha,
County of Orange, California, as shown on a map of the Ross Addition to Santa
Ana, recorded in Book 3, page 534 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County,
California, bounded Easterly by the Northerly prolongation of the East line of
Block K of said Ross Addition, bounded Westerly by the following described line:
Beginning at a point in the centerline of First Street as shown on said
Map of the Ross Addition to the City of Santa Ana, said point also lying on
a line parallel to and distant Easterly 54.00 feet, measured at right angles,
from the centerline of Flower Street as shown on said Map; thence Northerly
along said parallel line 263.06 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve
concave Easterly having a radius of 3200.00 feet; thence Northerly along
said curve to a point of tangency with a line that passes through a point
on the Northerly line of Block J of said Ross Addition to Santa Ana, said
last mentioned point being distant Easterly 62.48 feet, measured at right
angles, from said centerline of Flower Street; thence Northeasterly along
said tangent line, through said point, to a point on the centerline of 3rd
Street as shown on said Maps, said last mentioned point being distant
thereon 63.57 feet Easterly from said centerline of Flower.
