RESOLUTION NOo 79-3
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA REQUESTING THE BOARD
OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF ORANGE
TO PERMIT THE REGISTRAR OF VOTERS OF SAID
COUNTY TO RENDER SPECIFIED SERVICES TO
SAID CITY RELATING TO THE CONDUCT OF A
GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN
SAID CITY ON APRIL 3, 1979
WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election is to be held
in the City of Santa Ana on April 3, 1979; and
WHEREAS, in the course of conduct of said election,
and in relation thereto, it will be necessary to mail sample
ballots and polling place information to the registered voters
of the City, and it will facilitate such mailing if the Registrar
of Voters of the County of Orange will make available to this
city the computer record of the names and addresses of all
eligible registered voters in order that labels may be printed
for attaching to self-mailer sample ballot booklets; and
WHEREAS, all necessary expense in performing this
service shall be paid by the City;
NOW, THEHEFOHE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That, pursuant to the provisions of Section
22003 of the Elections Code of the State of California, this
Council hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of Orange County
to permit the Registrar of Voters to prepare and furnish to this
City, for use in conducting said election, said County's computer
record of the names and address of all eligible registered voters
in this City in order that the City may print labels to be at-
tached to self-mailer sample ballot booklets, and to furnish to
the City printed indices of the voters to be used at the polling
places, and to make available to the City additional election
equipment and assistance according to state law.
SECTION 2. That the City shall reimburse said County
for all such services performed when the work is completed and
upon presentation to the City of a properly approved bill.
SECTION 3. That the Clerk of the Council is hereby
directed to forward without delay to said Board of Supervisors
and to said Registrar of Voters, each, a certified copy of
this resolution.
