HomeMy WebLinkAbout79-039EJC:adg 2/20/79 RESOLUTION NO. 7939 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION 78-104 AND 77-84 TO ADJUST THE COMPENSA- TION FIXED AND ESTABLISHED FOR THE OFFICE OF THE CITY ATTORNEY WHEREAS, on October 16, 1978, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana approved memorandums of understanding between the City of Santa Ana and employee representatives; and WHEREAS, the City Council further approved equal benefits to unrepresented executive management and middle management employees, with certain exceptions which, in- cluded the City Attorney; and WHEREAS, the City Council, intended, and now in- tends to extend the aforesaid equal benefits to the City Attorney effective from and after January 1, 1979. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana: 1. That Resolution No. 77-84, as amended by Resolu- tion No. 78-104, be further amended to provide the following benefits effective January 1, 1979. The City of Santa Ana shall reimburse retirement contributions paid by the City Attorney to the Public Employees Retirement System in an amount equal to five percent (5%) times the "compensation" upon which such retirement contributions are calculated for the period January 1, 1979, to June 30, 1979, payable in two equal installments as follows: (1) April 9, 1979, for the months of January, February and March, 1979, and (2) July 9, 1979, for the months of April, May and June, 1979. Such re- imbursement is not an increase in salary. 2. That the remaining provisions of Resolution No. 77-84, as amended by Resolution No. 78-104, shall remain unchanged.
