RESOLUTION NO. 79-42
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA PROVIDING FOR THE EXECUTION OF
AGREEMENTS BY THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS
RELATING TO REAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana, from time to time,
acquires improved or unimproved real property which is intended
for public use; and
WHEREAS, pending such public use, the City of Santa
Ana desires to acquire rental income by permitting tenants
to occupy and use such real property; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana may, at various times,
have several parcels of such properties which are routinely
leased, rented or otherwise used by agreement with tenants
and/or their representatives; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana
desires to delegate to the Director of Public Works the author-
ity to execute, on behalf of said city, leases, rental agree-
ments, and other agreements on an interim basis pending use
of such properties for their intended public use.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA:
1. The Director of Public Works is hereby author-
ized to execute, on behalf of the city, leases, rental agree-
ments and other agreements involving improved or unimproved
real property attendant to the property management function
of the Department of Public Works.
2. Ail such leases, rental agreements and other
agreements shall be approved as to form by the City Attorney,
pursuant to Charter Section 703(f).
3. Each and every such lease, rental agreement
and other agreement heretofore executed by the Director of
Public Works or his designate on behalf of the city is hereby
ratified and approved.
