HomeMy WebLinkAbout79-052 EJC: adg A R SO .UTION Or THE CITY COUNCI g 3%U) CITY OF S~TA ~A ~ENDING RESO~NS --~ 79-36 AND 78-144 TO ADJUST THE ~MPEN- 9-/7-~9 SATION FIXED AND ESTABLISHED FOR THE OFFICE OF CITY M~AGER ~D THE OFFICE OF THE CLE~ OF THE COUNCIL WHEREAS, on October 16, 1978, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana approved memorandums of understanding between the City of Santa Ana and employee representatives; and WHEREAS, the City Council further approved equal benefits to unrepresented executive management and middle management employees, with certain exceptions which included the City Manager and the Clerk of the Council; and WHEREAS, the City Council intended, and now intends to extend the aforesaid equal benefits to the City Manager and the Clerk of the Council effective from and after March 1, 1979. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana: 1. That Resolution No. 79-36 be amended to provide the following benefits effective March 1, 1979. The City of Santa Ana shall reimburse retirement contributions paid by the City Manager to the Public Employees Retirement System in an amount equal to five percent (5%) times the "compensation" upon which such retirement contributions are calculated for the period March 1, 1979 to June 30, 1979, payable on July 9, 1979 for the months of March, April, May and June. Such reimbursement is not an increase in salary. 2. That Resolution No. 78-144 be amended to pro- vide the following benefits effective March 1, 1979. The City of Santa Ana shall reimburse retirement contributions paid by the Clerk of the Council to the Public Employees Retirement System in an amount equal to five percent (5%) times the "compensation" upon which such retirement con- tributions are calculated for the period March 1, 1979 to June 30, 1979, payable on July 9, 1979 for the months of March, April, May and June. Such reimbursement is not an increase in salary. 3. That the remaining provisions of Resolutions No. 79-36 and 78-144 shall remain unchanged.
