RESOLUTION NO. 79-74
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA REQUESTING AN EXTENSION OF TIME
ON AHFP PROJECT NO. 877.
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Orange did, by Resolution No. 77-407 dated March 15, 1977,
establish a Fiscal Program for Fiscal Year 1977-78 under the
Orange County Arterial Highway Financing Program, and
WHEREAS, said program included funding for right-of-way
acquisition and construction of the Buffalo On-Ramp between
Main Street and the Santa Ana Freeway (Project NO. 877), and
WHEREAS, the deadline for award of a contract for the
construction of said project is June 30, 1979, and
WHEREAS, the project is being administered by the Cal-
ifornia Department of Transportation, and
WHEREAS, Caltrans has experienced unforeseen delays in
obtaining clearance from the Southern Pacific Transportation
Company and the Public Utilities Commission for the railroad
crossing which is involved in the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA:
That said City Council hereby requests the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Orange to authorize an exten-
sion of the deadline for award of a construction contract
for AHFP Project No. 877 from June 30, 1979 to December 31,
1979.
