RESOLUTION NO. 79-75
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA REQUESTING AN EXTENSION OF TIME AND
ADDITIONAL FUNDING FROM THE ORANGE COUNTY ARTERIAL
HIGHWAY FINANCING PROGRAM FOR AHFP PROJECT NO. 864.
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Orange did, by Resolution No. 76-657, dated May 11, 1976,
establish a Fiscal Program for Fiscal Year 1976-77 under the
Orange County Arterial Highway Financing Program, and
WHEREAS, said program included funding for the widening
of Seventeenth Street between King Street and College Avenue
(Project 864), and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has experienced an un-
foreseen delay in obtaining the necessary street right-of-
way from one parcel of property owned by the County of
Orange, and
WHEREAS, construction costs have escalated dramatically
since the city submitted its project funding request in
1975, and
WHEREAS, the city has the necessary matching funds
available:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA:
That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby
requests the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange to
authorize an extension of time for award of a construction
contract for AHFP Project No. 864 from June 30, 1979 to
December 31, 1979, and the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Orange is hereby requested to authorize the
allocation of additional AHFP funds in the amount of One
Hundred Seventy-one Thousand Dollars ($171,000.00) for AHFP
Project No. 864.
