RESOLUTION NO. 79-141
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
SANTA ANA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION
OF A PROJECT AGREEMENT FOR LAND AND WATER
CONSERVATION FUND PROJECT NO. 06-00720, BY
AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AND THE STATE
OF CALIFORNIAv RESOURCES AGENCY, DEPARTMENT OF
PARKS AND RECREATION
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana, as follows:
SECTION 1. That certain "STATE OF CALIFORNIA Depart-
ment of Parks and Recreation PROJECT AGREEMENT Land and
Water Conservation Fund Program" pertaining to Thornton Park
development, and being Project No. 06-00720, by and between
the City and the State of California, a copy of which is on
file in the Office of the Clerk of the Council, to which
copy reference is hereby made for full particulars, is here-
by approved in all respects. Said Agreement provides, in
part, for federal reimbursement to the City of an amount not
to exceed One Hundred Twenty-one Thousand Nine Hundred Twenty
Dollars ($121,920.00) under the provisions of the Land and
Water Conservation Fund Act of 1965 for a project described
as construction of "a passive park with a lake impoundment
and support facilities on eight (8) acres of the existing
thirty (30) acre Carl Thornton Park".
SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to execute five (5) copies of said Project Agreement.
