HomeMy WebLinkAbout79-152RESOLUTION NO. 79-152 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA FIXING WATER P~ATES AND STANDBY g[RVICE £NARG[§ AND REPEALING REgOLUTION N0.7~-120 BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana: 1. That the following water rates and service charges are to be levied and collected for each water service to which water is supplied by the City, or to which a standby service is provided, pursuant to Section 39-21 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code. O0 Commodity charge to be added to said standby charge: All water supplied as recorded by the detector check valve bypass meter: Per 100 Cubic Feet $ 0.42 (3) Private fire service rates with detector water meters, bi-monthly standby charge for the fire portion of combination service. O0 6" 18.00 8" 24.00 10" 30.00 12" 36.00 RESOLUTION NO. 79- 152 Commodity charge to be added to said standby charge: All water supplied as recorded by the detector meter (fire meter portion): Per 100 Cubic Feet $ 0.42 In the event of a fire certified by the Fire Chief, the charge will be adjusted to exclude water used for fire suppression. (4) Private fire service rates without detector check valves, bi-monthly standby charge: The charges shall double the rates for private fire services with detector check valves. (5) Fire hydrant rates: Public fire hydrant rates shall be two dollars and sixty-one cents {$2.61) per month per hydrant. (6) Surcharge for Acquisition: That a surcharge of One Dollar ($1.00) per month is to be levied and collected for each water service to which water is supplied by the City, or to which a standby service is provided, pursuant to Section 31-21 of the Santa Aha Municipal Code, for those services acquired by the City of Santa Ana under and pursuant to that certain agreement entitled "Water Systems Acquisition Agreement", dated 2/20/79, as amended, provided and excepting, however, that the surcharge levied hereby shall not apply to any dwelling in Tract 1944, the owners of which installed a water system under and pursuant to proceedings had and taken under the Improvement Act of 1911 heretofore. The surcharge levied hereby shall not be charged beyond five (5) years from and after the date when said surcharge is first levied. C. SERVICE OUTSIDE CITY LIMITS All rates and service charges for service to premises outside the City limits shall be dougle the above rates and charges except to those premises outside the City limits heretofore served at the rates charged to those within the City limits. D. TEMPORARY WATER SERVICE (1) Water for construction work and other uses such that service is required for only a limited time, not to exceed six months as provided for in Section 39-26 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code: All water supplied from fire hydrants: Per 100 Cubic Feet Meter rental per day $0.50 $1.oo (2) Water for residential subdivision construction work not to exceed four months as provided for in Section 39-29 of the Santa Aha Municipal Code: All water supplied from fire hydrants or water services with spacer connections: Per Lot $12.00 Per 100 feet of sewer ditch $ 3.33 RESOLUTION NO. 79-152 (3) Water for flat rate unmetered service where a meter cannot be installed; bi-monthly:. Per 3/4" service $ 15.00 2. That Resolution No. 78-120 fixing water rates and standby service charges is hereby repealed, effective September 15, 1979. 3. That this resolution shall be operative from and after the 15th day of September, 1979.
