RESOLUTION NO. 79-]74
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE
A PORTION OF GARRY AVENUE WEST OF CRODDY WAY,
APPROVING A MAP THEREOF, DIRECTING THE CLERK
OF THE COUNCIL TO FILE SAID MAP, DESCRIBING
THE PORTION OF SAID STREET TO BE VACATED,
SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING THEREON, AND
DIRECTING NOTICE THEREOF TO BE POSTED
AND PUBLISHED.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Santa Aha:
1. Pursuant to and in accordance with the provisions
of Part 3, Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of
the State of California, this Council does hereby declare
its intention to order the vacation of and to vacate that
portion of Garry Avenue West of Croddy Way as more particularly
described and shown on that certain document entitled Street
Abandonment No. 98 together with attached maps, a copy of
which is on file with the Clerk of the Council, and more
particularly described and shown on Exhibit A, Attached
hereto and incorporated by reference herein.
2. That the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana does hereby approve said map entitled Street Abandonment
No. 98 together with attached maps, as the map showing that
portion of Garry Avenue west of Crcddy Way which this Council
delcares its intention to vacate.
3. The Clerk of the Council is hereby directed
to file said map in her office where the same may be examined
by any and all persons desiring to do so.
4. Notice is hereby given that at the hour of
7:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard
on the 5th day of November , 1979, in the Council
Chambers of the City of Santa Aha, 20 Civic Center Plaza,
Santa Ana, California, a public hearing will be held by this
Council at which time any and all persons interested in or
objecting to the proposed vacation of said portion of Garry
Avenue hereinabove described may appear and be heard.
5. The Clerk of the Council is hereby directed
to cause this Resolution to be published at least once in
"The Register", a newspaper of general circulation in the
City, within fifteen (15) days after the date of adoption of
this Resolution and at least ten (10) days before the date
set for said hearing.
6. The Director of Public Works is hereby directed
to post conspicuously, in the manner prescribed by law,
notice of the adoption of this Resolution, containing a

statement of the time and place of hearing hereinabove set
forth, along the line of the portion of said street proposed
to be vacated.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION
FOR THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF GARRY AVEN~E
A portion of Garry Avenue in the City of Santa Aha, County
of Orange, State of California as shown on a map filed in Book
70 Pages 37 and 38 of Parcel Maps in the Office of the Count),
Recorder of said County, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the Northerly line of Garry Avenue
which is the Southwesterly corner of Parcel 12 as shown on
said map filed in Book 70 pages 57 and 58 of Parcel Maps,
said point and Southwest corner being on a curve concave to
the Southeast and having a radius of 70.00 feet, a radial line
through said point and Southwest corner bearing North 26°35'59"
West; thence Easterly 42.86 feet along said curve and Northerly
line through a central angle of 35°04'46'', a radial line through
said point bearing North 8°30'47'' East; thence continuing along
said Northerly line, South 81°29'13" East, $0.00 feet to the
beginning of a tangent curve concave to the North and having
a radius of 42.00 feet, a radial line through said point bearing
South 8°30'47'' West, thence Easterly 7.15 feet along said curre
and Northerly line through a central angle of 9°45'52" a
radial line through said point bearing South 1°14'45" East;
thence parallel with and Northerly 30.00 feet, measured at
right angles, from the centerline of said Garry Avenue as
shown on said map filed in Book ?0, Pages 57 and 38 of
Parcel Maps, South 88°45'15" West, 98.20 feet to a point on
the Southerly prolongation of the Westerly line of said Parcel
12; thence North le19'45'' West, 3.3? feet along said Southerly
prolongation of said Westerly line to the point of beg~nnSng.
