RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVING
AND PROVIDING FOR CONTRIBUTION TO PAY CER-
TAIN COSTS AND EXPENSES IN ASSESSMENT DISTRICT
(A.D. 242 - PROGRESSO-LA BONITA & SIXTH-ROSITA)
CITY OF SANTA ANA
WHEREAS, this City Council has, by Resolution, declared its in-
tention to authorize the construction of certain works of'improve-
ment pursuant to the terms and provisions of the "Improvement Act
of 1911", being Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California, in a special assessment district known and
designated as
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 242
(hereinafter referred to as the "Assessment District"); and,
WHEREAS, this City Council at this time is desirous of providing
a'contribution to pay a portion of the costs and expenses of the
work and proceedings; and,
WHEREAS, this City Council, pursuant to Chapter 2.5, Part 3, Divi-
sion 7 of.the Streets and Highways Code (commencing with Section
5126) may so provide for a contribution by said City of a part of
the costs and expenses of the work done under said Division, any
time prior to the confirmation of the proceedings on said Assess-
ment District.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA
CALIFORNIA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the above recitals are all true and correct.
SECT%ON 2.
The City Council shall contribute the sum of
$ 176,736.85 , to be applied toward the
costs and expenses of the works of improvement
as installed and completed in said Assessment
District.
Said funds shall be appropriated from the
following source:
COM~lbNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT [HUD] FUNDS
SECTION
That said contribution is as authorized pursuant
to Chapter 2.5 of the "Improvement Act of 1911",
being Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code
of the State of California.

SECTION 4.
Said contribution shall be paid to the contractor
or his assigns upon delivery of the assessment
roll and warrant to him, as so provided in the
"Improvement Act of 1911", and upon payment of the
balance of all incidental expenses due under said
proceedings.
