A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING CITY PARTICI-
PATION IN THE CONSORTIUM APPLICATION
FOR THE HUD INNOVATIVE GRANT PROGRAM
ON ENERGY CONSERVATION
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has been an active
participant in the Consortium of certain Orange County cities,
sponsoring and working cooperatively through the Man in
Washington Program; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Develop-
ment has made available $11 million to fund major programs
in energy conservation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Santa Ana has indicated
an interest in developing viable programs which would address
the reduction of energy consumption, as well as provide a
vehicle for community members to gain information on program
availability.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL:
That the City of Santa Ana authorizes staff participation in
a multi-agency application and grant program for Energy
Conservation funding.
