A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
ANAAMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 58-281 TO ADD THE CLASS
TITLE OF SENIOR FORENSIC SPECIALIST AND TO CHANGE THE
CLASS TITLES OF TWO CLASSES ASSIGNED TO THE POLICE
CRIME LABORATORY ACTIVITY
WHEREAS, on November 3, 1958, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution
No. 58-281, revising and ~e-establishing the Basic Compensation Plan for all officers
and employees of the City of Santa Ana; and
WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa
Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classifi-
cation and pay plan subject to Civil Service Rules and Regulations and the approval
of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution; and
classes assigned to the Police Crime Laboratory in order to provide for the implemen-
tation of a planned civilianization and centralization of scientific and technical
services pertaining to the investigation of crimes through the collection, preserva-
tion and evaluation of evidence by adding one new classification and changing the
title of two existing classes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha:
1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, as amended, is hereby further
amended by:
a. Adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the new class title of SENIOR
FORENSIC SPECIALIST at Salary Rate Range No. 420, $1619-$1968, effective July 7, 1980.
b. Changing the title of the existing classes of Identification Technician
and Assistant Identification Technician to FORENSIC SPECIALIST II and FORENSIC SPECIALIST
I, respectively, at no change in salary level.
2. That this Resolution shall be operative from and after July 7, 1980.
