RESOLUTION NO. 80- 162
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA PROHIBITING
PARKING ON CERTAIN PORTIONS OF NORTH
MAIN STREET NEAR BUFFALO AVENUE TO
REDUCE TRAFFIC CONGESTION AND ACCIDENTS
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted the Main Street
Corridor Report on May 19, 1980, which report recommended
removal of parking on certain portions of Main Street; and
WHEREAS, in order to improve traffic flow and
reduce parked vehicle accidents, it is necessary to remove
parking on portions of North Main Street as hereinafter
described; and
WHEREAS, various departments of the City are
working with the business community on North Main Street to
reduce the impact of the removal of the on-street parking.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
1. That there shall be no stopping at any time on
the east side of Main Street from the centerline of Buffalo
Avenue to a point 355' south of the centerline of Buffalo
Avenue.
2. That there shall be no stopping at any time on
the west side of Main Street from Santa Clara Avenue to a
point 355' south of the centerline of Buffalo Avenue.
ADOPTED this 6th day of 0£t0ber , 1980, by
the following vote:
