Present: Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould, Jr., Dale H. Heinly, Bob Brewer, A. A. Ball Absent: Couacilmen None ~Budget Revision 1959-1960 The Manager submitted a revision of the 1959-1960 Budget, both as to revenue and expenditures, and on motion of Councilman Heinly and seconded by Hubbard, the re- visions were approved as recommended by t~he Manager. Motion withdrawn with consent of the second. It was moved by Councilman Heinly and seconded by Hubbard, that the revisions of ' $196,0OO.00 and $210,000.00 be excluded, and that all other matters pertaining to the revision be approved. It was moved by Councilman Heinly and seconded by Brewer, that approval be given for the purchase of property south of Delhi Road and west of Bristol Street, and the revision of the amount for $196,000.00. It was moved by Councilman Heinly and seconded by Brewer, that the item of $210,000.00 be approved for the acquisition of property bounded by Sixth, Eighth, Parton and Flower Streets. Gould, Jr. None Boundary Report City of Santa Aha "South Santa Ana Annex No. 5" Motion carried. The City Attorney stated the Boundary Commission finds that the boundaries of the proposed annexation designated "South Santa Aua Annex No. 5" are reasonably definite and certain, and ordered the report showing same delivered to the City of Santa Reso.No. 60-59 Initiating proceedings "South Santa Ana Annex NO. 5" (set hearing date) RequeSt of Dyke water Company (drill water well) Ana. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the oral report was accepted. The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution on motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the following Resolution en- ii titled: "Resolutio~ No. 60-59 initiating proceedings for the annexation of territory to the City of Samta Aha, designating an appropriate name of 'South Santa Aha Annex No. 5' for said territory~ and giving notice of protest hearing thereon" and setting the date of hearing on May 9, 1960, at 5:00 P.M., was considered and passed by the following vote: Ayes, CounciLmen Royal E. Hall Noes, Councilmen None Absent, Councilmen None On rec~m,,endation of the Manager, and on motion of CounciLmsn Hubbard, seconded Heinly and carried, permission was granted to the ~yke Water Company, to drill a ~ water well within the City limits, upon its existing water well site in Lot 53, Tract 2~63, at the northwest 'corner of Sunswept Avenue and Newhope Street, for the~ purpose of increasing their domestic water supply to custcmers they are now serving~ upon the following ~nditions as imposed: (1) The well to be in confolwaance with plot plan submitted by the Dyke Water Company. (2) That the Dyke Water Company be required to cement the well being abandoned rather than merely capping. /412 ~greement James M. Montgcmery Consulting Engineers, Inc. (appraisal of Pacific Water Co. syst em ) Y~ ~:, ~ motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the Mayor was authorized to execute an agreement with James M. Montgomery Consulting Engineers, Inc., for the furnishing of engineering services for an appraisal of the water works plant and properties operated exclusively within the boundaries of the City of Santa Ana by the Pacific Water Company, at a total fee of $2~700.00.
