A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 58-281 TO ADD THREE NEW CLASSES TO
THE CIVILIAN FIRE SAFETY SERIES AUTHORIZED IN THE 1980-81
ANNUAL BUDGET FOR THE FIRE SAFETY BUREAU
WHEREAS, on November 3, 1958, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution
No. 58-281, revising and re-establishing the Basic Compensation Plan for all officers
and employees of the City of Santa Aha; and
WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana
requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification
and pay plan subject to Civil Service Rules and Regulations and the approval of the
City Council; and
WHEP. EAS, the City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, it is now desired to complete the career-ladder series of civilian
(non-firefighting) fire safety classes initiated several years ago for the purpose
of restructuring and ¢ivilianizing the Fire Safety Bureau in accordance with the
City's Fire Protection Master Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha:
1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, as amended, is hereby further
amended by adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the following class titles at
the salary rate ranges as next thereto set out:

No. 412, 1557 - 1892
No. 433, 1725 - 2097
2. That this Resolution shall be operative from and after April 1, 1981.
