Mayor Hall stated where we have a continued tax reduction, with the many projects
that are in the offing, and while I feel a larger tax reduction may have been more
proper, this City Council makes every effort to continue to have an efficient,
progressive City, and I Just wanted to express my feelings in that regard. Council
man Heinly stated it is hoped that the City Council will be unanimous in the adopti
of this Ordinance, notwithstanding the feeling of some of the members. I think we
have a good program, there is efficient management in the operation of our City, a~
It will continue to be efficient. We are not proposing to cut to the bone as we
have many projects for the future, and it would be unsound to make such a drastic
tax cut this year and maintain the high rate of efficiency we have had in the past.
