RESOLUTION NO. 81- 191
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING THE LAND USE
ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN BY REDESIG-
NATING 2.5 ACRES LOCATED ON THE SOUTH
SIDE OF HAZARD AVENUE BETWEEN WEST STREET
AND HARBOR BOULEVARD FROM THE LOW DENSITY
RESIDENTIAL DESIGNATION TO THE MEDIUM
DENSITY RESIDENTIAL DESIGNATION..
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, a.~/ its regular
meeting held October 12, 1981, following pubt. ic hearing
noticed and held in the manner prescribed in./section 27-16

of the Santa Ana Municipal Code, considered/an amendment to
the General Plan of the City of Santa Ananias hereinafter
set forth, and has reported to this Council its
recommendation against approval thereof~/'
WHEREAS, this Council has held a public hearing
duly noticed in accordance with section 27-17 of the Santa
Ana Municipal Code, and based upon ~ch hearing and the
evidence therein presented, does nOW find said amendment to
be in the public interest; and
WHEREAS, this Council ,./prior to taking this
action, has reviewed and considered the information
contained in Negative Declaration, I.S. No. 81-119, and on
the basis thereof, finds that.the project will not have a
significant effect on the eny'ironment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA that the Land Use Element of the
General Plan is hereby a~ended by deleting a site consisting
of approximately 2.5 acres located on the south side of
Hazard Avenue between W~st Street and Harbor Boulevard, from
the Low Density Residential designation and redesignating
such site as Medium D~nsity Residential, in accordance with
that certain documen~ entitled "General Plan Amendment 81-
2," on file with th~ Clerk of the Council.
