A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF SUPPLEMENTNO. 22 TO LOCAL AGENCY-
STATE AGREEMENT NO. 07-5063 FOR FEDERAL-AID URBAN SYSTEM
PROJECTS FUNDING FOR PROJECT NO~ M-3041(104) - SANTA ANA
COMPUTERIZED TRAFFIC SIGNAL CONTROL SYSTEM - PHASE II
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana has
identified the Computerized Traffic Signal Control System as a Trans-
portation Program of highest priority; and
WHEREAS, Phase I of the Computer System Program has been
successfully completed; and
WHER~S, Federal-Aid Urban System Projects funding in the
amount of $1,754,373 has been allocated for Phase II implementation;
and
WHEREAS, City-matching funds in the required amount of
$280,627 are available.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
RESOLVES that Supplement No. 22 to Agency/State Agreement No. 07-5063
shall be executed.

Pursuant to the Federal-Aid for Urban Systems Acts, the attached "Program" of Federal-Aid
Urban System Projects marked "Exhibit B" is hereby incorporated in that Master Agreement for
the Federal-Aid Program which was entered into betwveen the above named LOCAL AGENCY
and the STATE on December 19, 1977 , and is subject to all of the
terms and conditions thereof.
The subject progrmn is adopted in accordance with Paragraph 2 of Article II of the aforemen-
honed agreement under authority of City/GrOfa~l$.- Beso]ution No.

All maintenance, involving the physical condition and the'operation
of the improvements, referred to in Article VI MAINTENANCE of the
aforementioned Master Agreement will be performed by
the City of Santa Ana at regular intervals or as required
for efficient operation of the completed improvements.

The City of Santa Ana will advertise, award and administer this project.
In awarding, or agreeing to award the contract, the Local Agency agrees the payment
of Federal funds will be limited to the Detail Estimate amount approved by the Federal
Highway Administration in the Federal-Aid Project Agreement (PR-2), or its modification
(PR-2A), and accepts any increase in Local Agency funds.
The availability of Federal funds will be subject to meeting deadlines and/or other
conditions as may be imposed by the Director upon the recommendation of the FAU Advisory
Committee.
In executing this Program Supplemental Agreement, Local Agency hereby reaffirms the
"Nondiscrimination Assurances" contained in the aforementioned ~aster Agreement for
Federal-Aid Program.
