Each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of December 5, 1960, reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried. D. Coffing Company was accepted for Item B, One, one-ton Truck Chasst~witb Cab and Stake Body, in the total amount of $2,100.57, aud all other bids rejected. This being the date set for hearing on the annexation of property consisting of approximately 20 acres, extending approximately 1400 feet south of Delhi Road and a short distance north of Delhi Road, approximately 203 feet west of the County Flood Control Channel; no protests were received and the hearing was closed. On motl~a of Counc~ 1man Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the following Ordinanc~ entitled: "Ordinance declaring the annexation of that certain territory designated 'Delhi and Raitt S. E. Annex'" was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. This being the date set for hearing on the annexation of property consisting of approximately ten meres and located on the east side of Wright Street, beginning at~ a point 528 feet north of the intersection of center lines of Seventeenth and Wrigh~ north 527.73 feet and east approximately 830.67 feet; no protest~ Streets, extending were received and the hearing was closed. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconde( by Gould and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: "Ordinance declaring the annexation of that certain territory designated 'Twsntieth and Lyon Annex'" was introduced, considered and placed on file for second remding. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, Tentative Tract Map No. 4040, filed by Southern Construction Company, creating 20 lots located west of the intersection of Washington Avenue and King Street and 12th and King Streets, was approved, subject to conditions. On motion of Council,mn Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, Map of Tract No. 3943, filed by Ronald A. and Burdette M. Karos, and Kenneth W. and Mildred E. White~ land, for dedication of Santiago Street, Buffalo Avenue, Poinsettia Street and Valencia Avenue, for l:~blic use for highway pul~oses and bond in the sum of $27,000!i00 were approved; license fee in the amount of $1,200.00 accepted, and agreement cover~ Preliminary Record of Survey Map No.195 Joe L. Serna lng improvements ordered signed. Communication was presented from the Planning Department reco~amending denial of Prelfmtnary Record of Survey Map No. 195, filed by Joe L. Serna, creating three lots located on the north side of Sugar Avenue and approximately 660 feet west of Newhope Street. Mr. D. Canady, 1~851 Adams Street, Midway City, representing the applicant, objected to the disallowing of approaches on Sugar Avenue and requested resubmission of a map outlining his suggestions reference proposed access to the [Preliminary Record lof Survey Map No.197 T. J. Waggy property. It was moved by Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, that action on Preliminary Record of Survey Map No. 195 be continued to January 3, 1961.~ Commmuication was presented from the Planning Department recommending denial of Preliminary Record of Survey Map No. 197, filed by T. J. Waggy, creating two lots located l~OO feet north of Sugar Avenue on the west side of Newhope Street. Mr. Daniel Cohen, 13302 Beach Boulevard, Huntington Beach, representing the applicant, objected to the access limitations, the requirement of the alley, and the cul-de-sa on the northerly side of the property. Steinen It was moved by Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, that action on Prel~mtuary Record of Survey Map No. 197, be continued to January B, 1961. Communication was presented from the Planni~ Department recommending approval of Revised Tentative Tract Map No. 4034, filed by ~. F. Steinen, creating 51 lots located on the south side of Willlts Street, between Sullivan and Fairview Streets, I subject to conditions. Virgil Paxton, 513 So. Sullivan Street, stated his property faces Sullivan Street and requested that a fence be erected along said street. Bert Hoffman, 1206 So. Birch Street, stated his grove is to the south of the pro- posed development, and inquired if a fence could be built to protect his orange grove. On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried, Revised Tentative Tract Map No. 4034 was approved, subject to all conditions, and the further ~evised Tentative Map No.3902 Frank C.Latham, et condition that a six-foot fence be constructed on the south end of the property lin~. C~unication was again presented from the Planfling Department with Recommendationsil of Approval Tract No. B902 for Maps "B" and "C", filed by Frank C. and Nelda U. Latham, creating 91 lots located on the south side of Santa Clara Avenue, approxi- i mmately 1,161 feet west of Tustin Avenue, subject to conditions. A. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, Map "C" of Revised Tentative Tract Map No. 3902, for 7,200 square foot lots, was approved, subJec~ to conditions, and conditiohs (h) and (k) be deleted. Communication was again presented from the Planning Department rec~ending appro~ of Revised Tentative Tract Map No. ~OO0, filed by Paul J. and Ruth E. Knaak, creat-i ing 47 lots, located 656 feet south of Santa Clara Avenue and 1,161 feet west of Tustin Avenue, subject to conditions. At the oral request of A. Richard Brown, Jr.,i 7632 Cnmmonwealth Avenue, Buena Park, representing the applicant, and on motion of i Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould end carried, Revised Tentative Tract Map No. 4000 was withdrawn.
