RESOLUTION NO. 82- 26
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF
OF POLICE TO APPLY FOR AND EXECUTE A
GRANT AWARD FOR THE COMMUNITY CRIME
RESISTANCE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana desires to
undertake a certain project designated the "Community Crime
Resistance Program" to be funded in part from funds made
available through State General Funds FY 81/82 as authorized
by Chapter 578 of the 1978 Statutes for the California
Community Crime Resistance Program, administered by the
Office of Criminal Justice Planning (hereafter referred to
as OCJP).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Chief of
Police of the City of Santa Ana is authorized, on its behalf
to submit an Application for Grant for Law Enforcement
Purposes to OCJP and is authorized to execute on behalf of
the City of Santa Ana the Grant Award for law enforcement
purposes including any extensions or amendments thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees
to provide all matching funds required for said project
(including any extension or amendment thereof) under the
Community Crime Resistance Program and the rules and
regulations of OCJP and that cash will be appropriated as
required thereby.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received
hereunder shall not be used to supplement law enforcement
expenditures controlled by this body.
