A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE CLOSURE OF WALNUT
STREET BETWEEN PARTON STREET AND FLOWER STREET
TO THROUGN TRAFFIC FROM 9 A.M. TO 3 P.M. ON
SCHOOL DAYS ONLY
WHEREAS, The Santa Ana High School Administration and Santa Ana
Police Department have identified a traffic safety problem on Walnut
Street, associated with cruising vehicles; and
WHEREAS, the Santa Aha High School Administration has accepted
the responsibility to construct the required barricades conforming to
State of California Department of Transportation specifications; and
WHEREAS, the Santa Ana High School Administration has accepted
the responsibility for placing and removing barricades at the intersec-
tions of Walnut Street and Parton Street and at Walnut Street and Flower
Street, on school days; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Transportation and the Santa Ana
Fire Department have reviewed the request and find no objection to the
proposed closure.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana re-
solves that Walnut Street shall be closed between Parton Street and
Flower Street to through traffic from 9 A.M. to 3 P.M. on school days
only.
