RESOLUTION NO. 82-76
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA SUPPORTING THE CULTURAL
GROWTH PLAN FOR ORANGE COUNTY AS DEVELOPED
BY THE ORANGE COUNTY ARTS ALLIANCE
WHEREAS, the Orange County Arts Alliance is in the
process of developing a long range comprehensive plan for
cultural growth within Orange County, and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Board of Supervisors
has designated the Orange County Arts Alliance as the local
agency to enter into a contract with the California Arts
Council for the development of a County plan for cultural
growth, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana
agrees with the goal of improving life of all of our
citizens by increasing cultural awareness and activities so
that it becomes a natural part of everyday activities, and
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the benefits
of County-wide coordination and cooperation of cultural
planning, and
WHEREAS, the City Council is satisfied with the
fair and disbursed participation and representation of
artists, art organizations and constituents in the process
of developing and documenting the needs, goals and
objectives for cultural growth, and
WHEREAS, the California Arts Council acknowledged
the 1980-81 phase of the Orange County Arts Alliance Plan
for Cultural Growth by awarding its highest category of
acceptance.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City
Council of the City of Santa Ana does hereby resolve to
continue its support of the Cultural Growth Plan for Orange
County as developed by the Orange County Arts Alliance.
