RESOLUTION NO. 82-170
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA DENYING VARIANCE
APPLICATION NO. 82-15, SEEKING TO ALLOW
A GROWING YARD, OFFICE AND VEHICLE STORAGE
ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 302 SOUTH NEWHOPE
STREET
WHEREAS, this Council held a public hearing on
December 6, 1982, on Variance Application NO. 82-15, to
allow a growing yard with an office and vehicle storage on
property located at 2302 South Newhope Street and shown on a
map attached hereto as Exhibit A, in the R2 District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
1. Based upon the evidence submitted at the abovesaid
hearing this Council finds and determines as follows:
(a) The subject property may be developed and
used in accordance with the R2 District zoning regulation
without any hardship caused by special circumstances
particular to the property.
(b) The proposed use of the property would be
incompatible with and detrimental to nearby single-family
and multiple-family dwellings.
(c) The proposed use is inconsistent with medium
density residential use designated for the area in which it
is located by the City's general plan.
2. Variance Application No. 82-15 is hereby denied.
