RESOLUTION NO. 83-19
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA ESTABLISHING THE NOMINATION PROCEDURE
FOR MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY CABLE CITIZENS BOARD
WHEREAS, by Ordinance NO. NS -1671, the City
Council of the City of Santa Ana established the Community
Cable Citizens Board, consisting of eleven (11) members; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to establish a pro-
cedure for nominations to membership on the Community Cable
Citizens Board, in order to provide representation from
appropriate local entities and groups.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council
of the City of Santa Ana:
1. That the Community Cable Citizens Board shall
consist of representation as follows:
a. Business Representatives .3 members
b. Educational Representatives .2 members
C. Governmental Representatives . .2 members
d. At Large Representatives. . .4 members
2. That nominations for representation shall be
received as follows:
a. Business representative nominations shall
be from the Santa Ana Chamber of Commerce, and
other business organizations based in Santa Ana.
b. Educational representative nominations shall
be from the Santa Ana Unified School District and
the Santa Ana Community College.
c. Governmental representative nominations
shall be from the County of Orange Board of
Supervisors, and the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana.
d. At large nominations shall be from the
City Council of the City of Santa Ana.

3. That it is the intent of the City Council that
a majority of the Community Cable Citizens Board shall be
residents of the City of Santa Ana.
4. That it is the intent of the City Council that
one of the at large members shall be a representative of the
religious community, and one of the at large members shall
represent non -owner occupied rental units in the City of
Santa Ana.
