RESOLUTION NO. 83-23
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA EXTENDING THE TIME LIMIT
ON THE INITIATION OF USE OF VARIANCE 80-15,
ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1801 EAST FOURTH
STREET
WHEREAS, Variance 80-15, which allows the construc-
tion of an office building with less than standard off-street
parking facilities and less than standard setback from resi-
dential areas, became effective on December 8, 1980; and
WHEREAS, the developer of the proposed office
building has been unable to institute any action to construct
such office building within the two-year period specified by
Section 41-647 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code, and Variance
80-15 will therefore be void unless extended by this Council
pursuant to said section; and
WHEREAS, this Council finds and determines that
the circumstances which caused the original approval of
Variance 80-15 have not changed, and that no other consid-
erations exist which should require the said developer to
reapply for a new variance for the same proposed development;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA that the date on which Variance 80-
15 will become void unless action is instituted to construct
the proposed office building in accordance with the terms
and conditions of said Variance is hereby extended to
December 8, 1983.
