RESOLUTION NO. 83-35
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA DENYING VARIANCE
APPLICATION NO. 82-7 TO ALLOW A 154 -FOOT
HIGH ANTENNA IN THE C2 DISTRICT ON PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 1322 W. FIFTH STREET

WHEREAS,

WHEREAS, this Council held a public hearing on
February 22, 1983 on Variance Application No. 82-7, to allow
a 154 -foot high antenna in the C2 District, on property
located at 1322 W. Fifth Street as shown on the map attached
hereto as Exhibit A, incorporated herein, which application
was brought before this Council by Appeal No. 466, following
its denial by the Planning Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
1. Based on the evidence submitted at the abovesaid
hearing, this Council finds and determines as follows:
(a) The proposed antenna is inconsistent with
developments and improvements in the vicinity and will
create a view deleterious to the area.
(b) There are no special circumstances pertaining
to the subject property which cause any unreasonable
hardship on the property owner in being required to comply
with the zoning regulations regarding the use of property
and the height of structures in the C2 use district.
2. Variance Application No. 82-7 is hereby denied.
