RESOLUTION NO. 84-49
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA ESTABLISHING A FEE FOR
THE COORDINATION OF RESIDENTIAL DEVELOP-
MENT PROCESSING
WHEREAS, the State of California, by its enactment of
Government Code Section 65913.3 in 1980, required each city and
county to provide for the coordination of review and decision-
making and the provision of information regarding the status of
all applications and permits for residential developments by a
single administrative entity; and
WHEREAS, said section further authorizes the city or
county to charge fees to defray costs which are directly attrib-
utable to the coordination of the applications of developers by
a single administrative entity; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the abovesaid state-imposed
requirement, the City of Santa Ana has provided for the coor-
dination of all residential development application processing
through its department of planning and development services;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
1. AS to any residential development project for which a
building permit is required, the applicant for such permit shall
pay, together with and in addition to any and all other building
permit fees, a "residential development processing coordination
fee" to defray costs which are directly attributable to the coor-
dination of the applications of developers by a single admin-
istrative entity within the City of Santa Anao

2. The abovesaid "residential development processing
coordination fee" shall be in the amount of one-tenth of one
percent (0.1%) of the total valuation of the residential
development project as determined in accordance with building
permit fee assessments.
