HomeMy WebLinkAbout84-076RESOLUTION NO. 84- 76 A RESOLUTION OF T~E CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 TO ADD FIVE NEW CLASSES AND CHANGE A NUMBER OF CLASS TITLES IN ORDER TO IMPLEMENT A COUNCIL-APpROVED ADMINISTRATIVE REORGANIZATION PLAN WHEREAS, on,August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the basic~ Classification and Compensation Flan for Officers and employees of the City of Santa Ama; and WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Aha requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval of the City Council; and WHEREAS, on May 14, 1984 the City Council approved an administrative reorganization plan proposed by the City Manager; and WHEREAS, in order to provide for the appointment andcompensation of several individuals to certain key positions in said reorganization plan and to provide job titles more reflective of revised areas of responsibilities for a number of key management positions, it is now desired to add five new class titles together with salary rate ranges and appropriate management designations. and to change a number of class t~itles. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA: 1~ That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is hereby further amended by: a. Adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the following class titles at the salary rate ranges as next thereto set out: Class'Title Salary Rate Ranges Effective 7-1-84 Effective 9-1-84 No. (Min.-Max.) Designating the class of Conmunications & Marketing Executive Director as unrepresented Egecutive Management (EM)and the remaining new classes specified 'above as unrepresented Middle Management (I~). c.
